This page explains what happens to the information you give me through this website. I've tried to write it so you can actually read it. If anything is unclear, email me and I'll explain.
Who I am
Rolo Performance Coaching is the trading name of Roeland Boom, a sole trader registered in the Netherlands. I'm the one responsible for your information, and there's no team or company behind me with access to it.

What I collect, and why
When you apply for coaching
The application form asks for your first name, your email address and your answers: what you're aiming for, how often you train, what gets in the way, how much it matters to you, why now, when you'd want to start, how the price sits with you, and anything else you choose to tell me.
I use it for one thing, which is reading your application, deciding whether a call makes sense, and getting back to you. Some of those answers say something about your body and your health, which is why the form asks for your permission before it sends anything. That permission is the legal basis for holding it, and you can take it back at any time by emailing me.
When you download the free guide
Nothing. The guide downloads straight from this site. I only count that a download happened and in which language, never who downloaded it.
When you email me
Whatever you put in the email, used to reply to you.
What I don't collect
This site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies and no embedded social media. I don't know who visits it or what they look at, and that's on purpose. It's also why there's no cookie banner.
Where it goes
I don't sell your information, I don't share it for advertising, and I don't pass it to anyone to use for their own purposes. It does pass through a few services that make the site work:
| Service | What it does with it | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your application is saved to a spreadsheet in my business Google Workspace account, the confirmation email is sent from there, and email you send me arrives there | EU and United States | |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website. Like any host it handles technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page. I don't see or keep that | Worldwide |
Both are American companies. Where your information leaves the European Union, it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which both companies are certified under.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your application within six months. If we do, it becomes part of your client file, and you'll get a separate privacy note that covers the coaching itself before you share anything more.
If you want it gone sooner, ask and I'll delete it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask me at any time, for free, to:
- show you everything I hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete it
- stop using it, or limit what I do with it
- give you a copy you can take somewhere else
- withdraw your permission, which stops me using your application from that moment on
Email [email protected] and I'll do it within a month, usually much sooner. I won't ask why.
If you think I've handled your information badly, please tell me first so I can put it right. If you're in the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If you live in the United States
Some US states have their own rules about health-related information, including Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. This section is written for them, and it applies to everyone.
- The health-related information I collect is the application answers described above: your goals for your body, your training habits and what gets in the way. It comes from you and nowhere else.
- Why: only to assess your application and reply to you.
- Who receives it: only the two services in the table above, acting on my behalf. There are no other third parties or affiliates.
- I never sell it, and I don't share it beyond those services.
- Your rights: to confirm whether I hold it and see it, to get the list of everyone it was shared with, to withdraw your consent, and to have it deleted. Email me to use any of them.
- If I say no to a request, you can appeal by replying to that email, and I'll answer within 45 days. If you're still unhappy after that, you can contact your state Attorney General. In Washington that is the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.
Do Not Track. This site doesn't track you, so a Do Not Track signal from your browser doesn't change anything here.
If this page changes
The date at the top changes with it. If a change affects an application you've already sent, I'll email you before it takes effect.
